22 days till kickoff

It's been awhile gentlemen but glad to be back..... After reading/watching all the things on the upcoming season I have to question a few things.. This Triple threat Offense we will face the first game...
1- They have an experienced QB, We have Joe Cox.. I like Joe and his leadership to out perform the other guy.. Also like the fact we are working with our TE more in fall practice.. This should help Joe in blitz packages, instead of the screen pass. Like that on the road.. Little 5 and in routes.. UGA 1 up

2- Dez is a freak at receiver.. We cant stop him!! No one can! BUT.. wasn't Charles Johnson a FREAK.. if you can't get the ball to him then he can't be a game changer... this brings me to my biggest question.. CAN we get to the QB??? I still do not have faith in our DE.. OSU back to even..

3-OSU defense is soft and probably can't get to JC.. Expect a soft coverage D.. So how are our RB going to do.. it will be by committee and all should stay fresh and OL making big holes!!! UGA 1up

4-Coaching staff.. CMR and his road record gotta like that UGA 2up (CWM is hopefully going to have someone in his ear the hole game helping coach..LOL)

I truely belive we win this game but our first 6 games might be the hardest in the country.. Sorry ARE the hardest in the country and this game to me will set the tone.. Don't know how you guys feel but unless our D Line gets in the back field in every game will determine if any of us have any hair left!!!! LOL.. Let's go DAWGS and glad to get this off my chest to guys that understand.. Tired of hearing about the LANE TRAIN in TN.. They have as much as they did last year so I don't understand the hype about this guy.. All I hear \"He gives us HOPE!\" WTF is that... Go DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're the second person in the last couple of months to claim that Charles Johnson was a great receiver. Are you sure you don't mean Calvin Johnson? And yes, he was a terrific receiver, and no, he never did squat against us. Something like 10 catches for 22 yards and two touchdowns in three years. Not stellar numbers.

I agree with all of your points. We have an impressive schedule, but it ain't like we're playing Florida, USC, Penn State and Texas every week. OSU's a paper tiger, LSU is too. ASU we figured out last year, and Auburn and Tennessee are pushovers. That leaves...yep, you guessed it! Florida and Tech. Here we go, Bulldogs.

Only way we stopped him is because Reggie Ball was on his back.. If we don't get to the QB there's a good chance we get picked a part. We are just as unproven as LSU at the very same position.. just sayin.. ASU coming to Athens in this sponge we call humidity they don't have a chance. For some reason SC scares me, but they do that every year..Arkansas... have no clue.. good RB and a wolverine as QB who knows. TN still has no QB and from all reports they arent practicing the wish-bone.. FL well it's FL.. as far as Tech.. simple little league football when I was playing.. same type of \"O\" back in the day.. you tackle every player and then they can't pitch it. Assignment football it really is that easy to defend!!! I feel like the first game sets the tone. DE's need to be established and get to the QB.. if the D line doesn't get in the back field consistantly then we are in for it...... Just let Sept. 5th get here all ready!!!!!!

golferdawg, I was the first person noted for using Charles instead of Calvin. Sometimes names get mixed up, especially when Charles Johnson played for UGA. Of course Charles being a DE and Calvin playing on the outside, different types for sure.

Definitely right on the Reggie Ball comment. Hard to imagine what CJ would have done with a strong armed QB. He will certainly get the ball thrown in his direction this year with the Detroit Lions. That should be quite a combination. Pulling for both.

golferdawg, all I know is, Paul Oliver deserves a medal for keeping the ball out of Calvin Johnson's hands in 2006. What a phenomenal game for him. \"A career night for the guy,\" as Scott Howard observed. Held Calvin Johnson to two receptions for 10 yards, no touchdowns, and had the game-winning interception. Not bad for your final game between the hedges.

Don't be ashamed of being scared of the Gamecocks. There's a reason I call them SCarolina.
