averagedawg, makes me think about the Texas and Oklahoma QB's. Both could have signed lucrative NFL contracts. Instead chose to stay and lead their respective teams. True College SPIRIT. Money will be there when the time comes.

Just a quick note about the college football superstar quarterback: he's never fared well at Georgia.
Fran Tarkenton: brilliant arm, brilliant quarterback. One SEC title and a lot of losing seasons.
Eric Zeier: Poor Eric Zeier. No SEC titles; one shared divisional title
Quincy Carter: Well, don't make me gag.
Matthew Stafford: possibly the single greatest (yes, even ahead of '75 and '78) non-championship year in Georgia's history in 2007, but no titles and a bad taste left in a lot of Dawgs' mouths.
Meanwhile, here we go with Slow-and-steady.
Buck Belue: one national championship, two SEC titles and the only undefeated, untied season in the Vince Dooley era.
David Greene: one SEC title, two divisional titles and the most wins ever by a college quarterback in FBS
John Lastinger: one SEC title, an appearance in the de facto national title game and possibly the greatest Cotton Bowl victory in history (what time is it in Texas?)
There you have it. Joe, help us navigate this season. GO DAWGS!
