Congratulations to David Greene and Kevin Butler, who today were named members of the Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network pre- and post-game show team, respectively. David Greene will co-host the first hour of the pregame show along with Jeff Dantzler, who will also co-host the first hour of the postgame show with Kevin Butler.
For those who don't remember, David Greene led the Dawgs to two SEC Eastern Division titles and a conference championship en route to becoming the winningest quarterback in the history of Division 1-A. His most famous play was undoubtedly P-40 Haynes, forever immortalized as the \"hobnail boot\" play, and he seemed to specialize in game-winning fourth-quarter drives. Kevin Butler won two SEC titles as placekicker for the Dawgs before winning a Superbowl with the 1985 Chicago Bears. His most famous boot was the \"ungodly\" sixty-yard (plus about a foot and a half) field goal against Clemson in 1984, giving the Dawgs a last-second 26-23 victory back in the days of the tied ballgame.
Boy oh boy. Now we have David Greene, Kevin Butler, and Eric Zeier calling games for us. David Pollack's got an Atlanta radio show and Buck Belue has a radio/tv show. In the crystal ball, I see \"Cooking With Herschel\"....
