arcane high school football question

Ok...so I know some of you guys tend to keep up with high school football and was hoping someone here could answer my question.

I used to attend Brunswick High School (3-AAAA Div. B ) in the late 80s early 90s and always remembered them having a decent football program. Anyways, since I have tons of free time on my hands at work I decided to check out how the Pirates have been doing over the years.

I found that the 1994 campaign they went 10-2, won the region I believe and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Valdosta. Good season right? Later I find that the GHSA forced them to forfeit those 10 wins. I've tried to research why but can't find anything.

My question is does anybody have any idea why they had to forfeit this entire season. I don't remember hearing anything about it in the news and can't find any articles about it. The GHSA refuses to even acknowledge a 3-AAAA region champion for 1994. Hopefully one of you football fanatics can help me out here.

Getdown11, I checked with my inside guy and he was in school at Princeton (but a devout Dawg) at the time and even he didn't know (he knows all this stuff).

Getdown 11, looked high and low for the answer. Not listed anywhere that I can find on the internet. As you say GHSA leaves 1994 blank. Strange.

I know. I'm guessing it's more than likely an instance of academic ineligibility. I find it odd that the GHSA doesn't even mention why they forced BHS to vacate the wins. I was just wondering.
