Mark Bradley versus Buc

• I see Georgia losing four games. If that sounds like a lot, recall that the star-studded 2008 team lost three, and — stop me if you’ve heard this already — Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno are gone. Joe Cox won’t be as good as D.J. Shockley was in 2005, but he’ll be OK. Replacing Moreno will be more problematic. And there’s still the Willie Martinez factor. The losses: At Oklahoma State and Tech, to LSU at home and (duh) in Jacksonville.

The above comment was retrieved from the AJC, one Mark Bradley.

Feel sure that he is working on the readership, old journalistic tactic. Newsprint going downhill quicker than quick sand time to stir the pot.

Couple of points that I disagree with, one that I do agree with and will watch closely.

Oklahoma State has a very good football team and a coach that is over 40. A win/loss here has a lot to do with our Dawgs, no doubt.

Cox versus Shockley, not the same type players, offensively UGA needs someone to \"run and control\" the attack for those that are around him. Cox does not have to be the \"show\". He sure as heck understands the play book.

KM was a fine back, no qualms here, however those that think we don't have some fine young backs on this team, hang on, we have the horses. When these young backs put the pads on and start the hard work prior to opening day, the cream will rise to the top. Several backs on this team that are better than \"good\".

So Mark Bradley is saying that we lose three road games and one home game. Interesting. If I am coaching this group, for sure I point this out. UGA has won some huge games on the road in the Coach Richt era.

I am still one of those that thinks the defensive side of the ball has to prove that WM can coach against certain formations. In my opinion, he has failed to get his players ready for different offensive sets. I truly hope that every UGA defensive player from freshman to senior is ready to play this year without injury. If that is the case, WM needs to show us \"HIS STUFF\".

One last comment or two on the Bradley article . . . . star studded, in name only. The offensive line had terrible injuries and a freshman center. Imagine this team with a healthy offensive line. If only WM could run his defense the same way that Coach Searels runs his offensive line. Yes, I know that we had some defensive guys hurt . . . just makes my point, Coach Searels made do with coaching \"up\" the young men that were not penciled in starters.

Right now he is WM to me. When I see a difference made from coaching the defensive side of the ball that results in wins, then he becomes \"Coach Martinez\" to me. \"Coach\" is more than a title, it is the ability to make biscuits out of dough.

Give or take, my two cents worth.

Love that \"biscuits out of dough\" line........perfect, Buc. Totally agree with everything you said, especially on the D side of things.

On the offensive side, I really believe that the only way we will be successful is by \"becoming\" Bama of last year. Not sold on Cox, not sold on C. King, worried a little about our supporting cast to AJ........the incoming freshmen WR's are GREAT but they are.......freshmen!!

We can methodically win games like Bama did last year with that BIG and EXPERIENCED offensive line that we have. Cox is a lot like John Parker Wilson and we have one OUTSTANDING WR in AJ like Bama did last year. Bama had good but not great RB's but that OL made them pretty darn good.

BUT.....and a BIG but.......can we play D like Bama did last year. Like you said Buc, WM needs to become Coach WM !!!!!!!!

We will NOT lose to LSU. That is a guarantee. If we lose to LSU, it'll only be after we've lost to everyone else on our schedule as well.

I agree with Bradley that we'll lose to Tech. Not Florida. Probably not Oklahoma State. NOT LSU! What a moron. What in the world is he thinking? What has LSU done in their off-season to make them even a centimeter better than they were last year, when we trashed them 52-38? Or in 2005, when we beat them 34-14? Or the last time they came to Athens, when we murdered them 45-16? Added a freshman quarterback? Yeah, that makes them unstoppable between the hedges. What an idiotic prediction.

I honestly don't see how we don't lose to Florida.
