Dawgs got screwed all the way around today. We were basically set up for failure.
First, LSU goes up 7-0 in the first inning of a game that never should have even started in the first place and our starters have to pitch in the rain.
Then, we get a 7 inning game to decide who goes to the championship because of rain.
Hopefully, we'll get shipped to the Tallahassee regional so I can go.
I agree with you on the unfairness of the first inning of the first game. According to Dave Johnston (at the time, not afterwards), Alex McRee was literally wiping the ball on his jersey trying to dry it off. The second game being a seven-inning affair is pretty standard for a college double-header, especially when you've got something like the SEC tourney on the line.
Unfortunately for history, LSU beat Vandy and will host an NCAA regional. I'm thinking, however, that if we get selected we'll be sent to Atlanta. We'll see.
