Way to Tick off Gator Nation, Urban!

Looks like trouble in...well, I guess a swamp can't be paradise, but you get my drift...

sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4163417

My favorite paragraph is this one:

\"Urban Meyer's not a Gator. He's a caretaker of the Gator program,\" Sileo said. \"Most times these coaches think they're the programs, but really, the program is the players. That's the problem I have with coaches whose egos get too big for their britches. If Urban doesn't like it, that's too bad.\"

Looks like it's not just Lane Kiffin sticking his size 12 in his mouth. Trouble is, Kiffin is insulting other SEC coaches. Urban is insulting his own fan base!

Imagine what would happen if Mark Richt read Dawgs.com and read some of the things we write after a loss or a poor performance. \"You're with us or against us!\" What if McShea87 -- the purest Dawg legacy we have, I think -- wrote that he was disappointed with our defensive secondary play and Coach Richt told him that he was no longer welcome in the locker room or on campus? Would that extend to his national championship-winning father as well?

Good lord, Urban. Get pissed at us all you want for celebrating in your end zone in '07, but don't insult Gator fans or former players just for criticizing your poor coaching. For the record, I watched the fourth quarter of that game, and there is NO reason Florida shouldn't have been undefeated last year. Poor coaching is all it was. Now insult me, Urban. Not Florida's former players. I may hate your university and your athletic program, but damned if I don't hate you even more now than I did before. Classless egomaniac.

In my opinion, just another \"Red Flag\" . . . . Notre Dame faulters this coming season, little doubt as to who will be going north. If Urban thinks that he has built his portfolio to the point that he can act this way, he will find out quickly that he too shall fall.

Jeremy Foley has an ego not smaller than Urban's, much larger (if possible) and with all the power it takes to sit high in the saddle. Mark my words, there will be trouble in Gainesville between these two before all is said and done. Urban is sitting in the hot bed of football players going from high school to college. Much of that will disappear when he relocates north of the Mason/Dixon.

Foley, 54, became the highest-paid athletic director in the nation with a contract agreed upon with school officials. The new deal will keep him in Gainesville for 11 more years, and could be worth as much as $1.2 million annually. Foley had last inked a contract with the university in 2005. That deal was worth just $600,000 annually. Two years later, a new contract could double his salary.

Here in Jax that's all the sports radio talk shows have been talking about the last two days. One show host in particular really rips UM to shreds about his comments. Another sports show's host wasn't too happy either with UM and he graduated from UF. He spoke his dissapproval in a harsh way as well.

LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Oh, BTW........Shane Matthews is a GREAT guy and a class act.

Believe Weiss will be there next year as well because ND's schedule is SO weak they could win 8-10 games this year, therefore giving them reason to keep him another year. Thinking the program is \"back on track\".........yeah, RIGHT.
