GaBoi . . . Just my opinion, but whether it is on national TV or pay for view, those that are in charge of the football programs probably care less. If what you are doing in the spring game is that critical, close the gates. This is a case of someone that is totally wrapped up in himself and his program. Did not do well in the pros, and now I suspect that he is worried about some of the talented West Coast football players signing on with the teams back East. Reminds me a bit of Notre Dame . . . many years ago all the school had to do was say \"we want you\". Paul Bear Bryant was in a position to do the same when he coached at Alabama. There comes a time when there is a shift, a change of thought, new direction. That has happened in the \"recent\" past, SEC football. Pac-10/SEC year after year, no comparison. Kiffin will be a thorn in the side of Southern Cal, they have the money and the facilities. My guess is that Kiffin will pull some of the West Coast players South. Many of these young men want to play when they step on campus, if your program is four or five deep, creates a problem sooner or later in the recruiting program. As I said when I started this . . . . just my opinion. Go Dawgs!
The Trojans aren't going completely in the dark for their end-of-spring scrimmage though. USC's spring game, the Trojan Huddle on April 25, will be streamed online for subscribers on USCTrojans.com.
