John Carson passed away last week. He was one of two five letterman in Dawg history. An All-American in golf and football, as well as lettering in track, basketball and tennis. He played during my under-grad days at Georgia. He and Harry Babcock both were All-American ends at Georgia from 49 to 52. All-American QB Zeke Bratowski had two of the finest receivers in college football at that time. If we only had a O line to go with the running backs, receivers and QB we had at that time we would'nt have had to suffur through the infamous drought. God rest John's soul. He was a great athlete, as well as a great person. Played for the Redskins in Washington for many years catching the balls thrown by Eddie Lebaron. Great memories!!

Brings back many memories DawgDoc. Zeke Bratkowski had quite an arm.
Eddie Lebaron was of course \"too short\" to play QB.
The Redskins were my and much of the south's favorite team back in the day.
RIP John Carson.

Hey Buc and DawgDoc, when I was a young boy living in south Ga., our family use to watch the Redskins EVERY Sunday. They would televise it through Jacksonville I believe on CBS. We never missed a game (it seemed) and would watch them lose every one of them (it seemed). I also remember 00....Johnny O they would call him.....Johnny Oshefski (sp???). Much fun back in the day. Seemed they would be in evry game through the 1st half and run completely out of gas in the 2nd half. It was frustrating but you couldn't help but to pull for them every week.
