So, after beating Clemson in a nailbiter, 6-5, on Tuesday night in Athens, I wasn't that upset about turning the game off with Clemson up 2-0 going into the 7th. I was listening to it on the computer while I finished up the day's work, and when I was done, it was time to turn it off and spend some time with my wife while our kids are out of town. I figured, it's an historic rivalry, and I'm not going to be that upset if we win our home game and Clemson takes theirs. That's just the way this series goes, right?
So, after all that, Georgia scores three runs in the eighth and the ninth and Will Harvil pitches a perfect half-inning to seal a 4-2 victory over the purple Tigers of Klimpson! If I wasn't convinced before that we are the prohibitive favorite to win the national title, I am now. What an UNBELIEVABLE performance, especially with our weekend opponent, LSU, dropping an 8-7 decision despite a four-run ninth-inning rally attempt. I am absolutely confident that this is our year, barring injury and basepath stupidity.
