Looks like former Georgia standout catcher and CWS contributor in 2004 and 2006, Clint Sammons, might just get called up to back Brian McCann up somewhere this season. He's been turning heads in Spring Training, the highlight of which so far has been smacking two homers against the accursed Phillies in a 12-10 Braves victory. You can read about it here:
At the start of spring training I believed david ross to be Bmacs back up. But, I am a huge braves fan and made the trip to fla to watch the braves this past week and Clint was one of the players that really stood out to me. His play was solid and seems to be seeing the ball extremely well. I think he will start the season in gwinnett, but it will be hard to keep him down if he keeps playing the way he is.
