Have You Looked at Our Schedule?

No, not the 2009 football schedule, I mean the baseball schedule, folks!

We're already 8-0. We have a Wednesday game against Wofford, a weekend series against Quinnipiac, and two mid-weekers against LeMoyne -- all in Athens -- before making our first SEC road trip against Alabama on 3/13. I'm not taking anything for granted here, but if our Diamond Dawgs continue to take care of business, we SHOULD (not WILL, but SHOULD) start off the season an astonishing 14-0, shattering the old 1911 record of 9-0.

Can you imagine being 14-0 going into conference play, against a team that hasn't been that good recently? Personally, I don't think our first real challenge comes until March 20-22 against Mississippi State, and we get them at home!

that's great. i wish they televised more college baseball games. (preferably georgia). down here in savannah, the only time i get to catch any Dawgs baseball is in the postseason on css. and even then it's normally not live. glad you are keeping up with it, dapolla. you're the geartest!!!!:woohoo:

GeorgiaBoy, if you get FSN South and SportSouth in Savannah (and there's no reason you shouldn't), there are a lot of college baseball games scheduled. Here's a list (Steve, you might want to put this somewhere alongside the baseball schedule):

4/9 Georgia at Georgia Tech (replay), 7 pm on SportSouth
4/12 Kentucky at Georgia, 4 pm on FSN South
5/4 Alabama at Georgia (replay), 2 pm on FSN South
5/13 Georgia-Georgia Tech at Turner Field (replay), 7 pm on FSN South

South Carolina's athletic website is also advertising their three-game series against us in Columbia as being televised on SportSouth.

oh, okay. thanks dapolla! i'll definitely watch. last year in omaha, i kinda got my fix off of watching Dawg baseball on css. i think i'll continue that tradition. GO DAWGS!!!

Looks like we could rack up a lot of wins and more important, experience for the young guys while getting those wins. Getting the best of both worlds while preparing for SEC schedule and postseason. GATA D-Dawgs!!!!!
