Kiante Tripp, who started Georgia’s first three games at left tackle last season and later worked at tight end, requested a move to defensive end and will work there this spring. This is a kid that see's a weakness and thinks he can fill the void. Like Buc said we have players on \"O\" that can play \"D\" and I hope this works out for everyone. We all know DE is our weakest link and now we have a little more depth! Thanks Tripp for stepping up and helping the team.
I think I read in another thread about how he was converted from DE. Going back to his natural position should be good. I hope. Our pass rush was abysmal last season. I don't think anything could make it worse. Hoping for the best.
This is something I don't understand, UGA has been known over the years to have GREAT defensive ends. Whats going on now that we don't have them? Was it we just had a stellar couple of years recruiting them, was it we had an excellant DE coach? What was it?!
Willie Willie Willie, and not Witherspoon, either.
Good on ya, Kiante! You know, this kid is rapidly becoming my favorite Dawg! What he did last year is incredible, and if he becomes a speedy pass rusher...
