wlayton, getting OC really is \"icing on the cake\" after a great class of '09. The more I hear about this young man, the more I like him. For CMR to say in his interview after his signing, that he would like to thank Orson's mom for raising such a fine young man is impressive. We all know CMR looks for character in an athlete in addition to his athletic ability. OC is a player that can create mismatches all over the field and with the size and athleticism of our receiving corp this year, we'll have people open all over the place. We have only one ball to play with at a time though. Even though this is a great problem to have, you wonder how CMBobo will manage this offense.

How would you guys like to be a running back this year with the Oline coming back with experience and receivers like we have. The RB's could very well carry some awesome yards per carry average, and I expect that to be true. :woohoo:

Footnote here . . .

Remembering conversation on the board last year about Coach John Lilly. My understanding is that Coach Lilly played a huge part in OC coming to UGA. Again speaks to Coach Richt and his ability to get quality folks on board. FSU, in big trouble again, sad, just wondering if Coach Lilly saw this coming. Certainly hope that our guys keep their collective noses clean this year.

Gah, I was happy with a recruiting ranking that nobody was paying attention to. Rivals has us as #6 now, so I hope we don't get sucked in by hype and expectations. I'd love to be the sleeper team that simply goes out and kicks ass and have nobody believing in us but the Dawg nation until about midpoint in the season.

I dont think anyone will think we are top flight until they see how the QBs perform, that will be the big deciding point, its easy to say that any QB can throw to these receivers but lets see how much time the QB has to throw before we get all excited. You could have the best receivers in the world but if the QB gets knocked on his butt under 4 secs it wont matter.

I am cautiously optimistic that this team will do better than last years team if the defense improves, that Im not betting on since martinez is still there.

I am glad Joe Cox is getting rewarded for his loyalty to the program. He deserves his time in the sun. What if we get to spring and Aaron Murray is so good that we can't keep him off the field? Conventional wisdom would redshirt him and let the experience take over, but Joe T. was the experienced QB when DJ Shockley left. Just thought I'd throw that bone out there!B)
