Going for 10? 3-0's a Good Way To Start!

Today our Gym Dawgs beat the Utah Utes (the only other school with 9 national titles and, until the end of this year, the only school to ever win five in a row) 197.150 - 196.725. For the uninitiated, beating a quality team like Utah by almost half a point is GREAT for a team that came out of the box struggling the way we did against West Virginia.

Courtney Kupets, fresh off of a popped Achilles, recorded a 9.975 on the uneven bars after winning the all-around in both previous meets. That young lady is INCREDIBLE!

GO DAWGS!!!!

Just read the article. Courtney Kupets won her third straight all-around with a 39.600. For those of you keeping track, that means that she had to average a score of 9.9. UNBELIEVABLE.

More notes:

1) Georgia was ranked 4th going into this meet against the 3rd-ranked Utes. The Gym Dawgs started the season ranked first in the nation, but suffered from a low score against WVU and dropped to 8th, moving up to 4th after their defeat of LSU on Friday.
2) Grace Taylor returned to form on beam, leading the Gym Dawgs with a 9.900.
3) The Utes led 49.4-49.3 after the first rotation, but lost the lead for good at the halfway point, though they tied it up after three.

Congrat's Courtney and all the other gym dawg's, I'm sure they will Git R Done

They need to get our Gym Dawgs to give the football team pep talks before each game.

Also, can you imagine the Gym Dawg Dawg Walk? If all the people line up like at the football Dawg Walk.....you wouldn't be able to see them.

A big congrats to the team....they are unbelievable.

Sadly, not as many people for the Gym Dawg Walk, at least the one I saw on tv, but it was still really cool and the fans were into it.
