Whew.... there is a huge age discrepancy represented in this forum. We young guys need to respect our elders. Heheheheehe! Just kidding, guys... I'm right behind you. Young guys, remember, age is a state of mind.... you're only as old as you feel!!! It has been fun cutting up with you all, young and.... experienced.

Buc, wlayton, limey, im sorry...i didnt mean to make you feel old!!! So how was it growing up in WWII?!?!:woohoo:

GaBoi, WWII was a different time to be sure. Rationing of sugar, fuel and most things that are now commonly accepted as everyday items. My Dad was a welder in Brunswick, Georgia on the day side, my Mom was a welder on the night side. Spent their efforts building Liberty Ships for the cause. As for feeling/being old, beats the heck out of the alternative. Enjoying the forum. Go Dawgs! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I can't tell you about WW2, but I can speak about the Cold War, being a military dependent throughout.

"The freedom of individuals to verbally to oppose or to challenge police actions without thereby risking arrest is one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation from a police state."

Sorry, i couldn't resist the friendly joke! I miss it in Brunswick. Live in Shreveport LA now. I dont really like it over here to much. I just dont have much choice in the matter. Air Force doesnt really put you exactly where you want to be (which would be back in brunswick)

Goooooo Dawgs...Sic'em...Woof Woof Woof!!!

fire_dawg, even at my advanced age, can still make the same statement you made above. Good mixture on this site, lots of up and coming Dawgs that will continue to respect the Red and Black. Go Dawgs! :woohoo:
