We need that spirit!!!

It's a new year and i think everyone is more than thrilled to welcome in 2009. Now i think all of us admit that there was something missing this past season. It's the spirit and love for the game. I know for some reason it just didn't click for the guy's this year. It was like nobody had any emotion, no spirit, no love for the game anymore. I know Stafford was already in the NFl the last couple of games, even Moreno and Allen, he was just not right. Now if Cox can do what he said and light that fire, then we may be able to compete for the SEC who knows. Let's just hope that the new talent we have coming in and the great talent we already have can do it. Sometimes we all get a little stressed out but keep the spirit and enjoy the game, It's any given Saturday and a lot of teams, until there's a play off we just have to keep the spirit, and root for our team no matter what. I will always love the Dawgs, theres nothing like it you either were born with it or your not. I do see us getting that NC were chasing it's not far guy's dont worry.

Best post I've read on here in a long time! You said everything I've been feeling about what was lacking THIS year and what NEXT year will bring.

Joe Cox is a fiery young man who's been patiently awaiting his turn. No offense meant to anybody so please don't take any, but for Joe Cox's sake, and my own curiosity, I'm kinda glad that MS declared for the draft. Don't get me wrong, I still love MS and I cherish getting to watch him play over the past 3 seasons, but I'm just so excited about having a Senior QB and a true FIELD GENERAL take the reins next season that I can't contain my excitement! Really, I am sitting here feeling like a kid waiting on Christmas already. G-day can't get here soon enough!

I agree with you guys on this one! This year seemed to lack so much. No passion, desire, and intensity, which was not fun to watch that led to many frustraiting weekends. I think our first goal needs to be to win the SEC East. Dont get me wrong, I want a NC just as much as the next guy. But, the road to the NC for us goes through Atlanta. To get to atlanta we must win our division. The NC will come, but we have to take it one step at a time. And I believe...

Seriously, the road to the national title will continue to lead through Atlanta until someone beats us in the game. Florida, LSU, and Tennessee have seen to that. In fact, perhaps more than anyone Auburn saw to that in 2004. I think we have the tools to win the whole thing this year, with an even better chance in 2010. I'm not down on the upcoming year, folks, because we haven't lost to Tech yet. Basically for me, you lose to Tech, it's a failed year. It's not because we didn't live up to expectations or win the national title...Florida and Alabama were better than us at the start of the year and at the end of it. We knew that was true of Florida, not so much of Alabama, but still. YOU DON'T LOSE TO TECH!

So. Until we lose to Tech again, I'm optimistic. We can win 'em all in 2009, boys! GO DAWGS!!!

New faces will breathe new life into the program. Cox will provide much needed leadership to a potent offense, Owens, Atkins, Curran, and Jones will provide leadership on a healthy defense, and our schedule is more favorable. Look out, boys........ no one outside of UGA expects much from this team! GATA Dawgs!
