Guys. This is formula based.

It is based upon where/how the team finished this year, returning starters and intangebles.

UGA finished 12th (I think), should come back next year with lesser proven talent so 18th is fair and maybe even a little high IMO.

we have this conversation after every season. (which is fine) but, i think rankings are more and more irrelevant every year. there are so many changes throughout the year that i could care less about preseason rankings. there will be two better teams than florida in 09. bank on it. (i just hope one of them is georgia)

It doesn't matter where we are ranked. We'll either win or lose on the field, and the calibre of talent facing us will dictate whether we rise or fall. 18 seems pretty fair.

Would have liked to be a little higher, but would definitely rather be looking up than down at the beginning of the year. Extremely high rankings seem to be the kiss of death for us.

i dont care what they rank us. i just need this offseason to recoup from this season. but i think gatoringa is right. i expected to be lower when ms and km left. espically the way our d played this year.

Yeah, I can see that but there is still a bunch of talent on that team and a lot coming in this year as well.
