I might be old school and believe that if a university commits to a player to give him (or her) a free education in exchange for playing a sport. The player, in turn, should be bound to stay. I agree that there should be special hardship cases. If a player chooses to leave the university early to reap the rewards of a multi-million dollar contract in professinal sports. He (or she) should pay the university back for the portion of the education they received. That's not the way it works so all I can say is \"Do UGA proud in the NFL, MS and KM.

watson, interesting concept...I like it but it wouldn't be a deterrent to these kids, they would be glad to pay it.

I like the idea though. NFL should just change the rules from 3 to 4 years out of HS before they can come out.

I like that too, wlayton. Even basketball sees tht there needs to be something done. Even though their idea of one year in college is, to me, a swing and a miss, it's a step in the right direction.
