Richt on Kiffin

Richt on Kiffin was created by GeorgiaBoy1285
Richt responded Monday to recent comments by new Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin, who said he was going to recruit hard in the state of Georgia because he felt Georgia might have just assumed that some in-state recruits would come to Athens.

\"He said Georgia went to sleep?\" Richt asked. \"I would say this: I'll just make comments about our program and everybody else should probably do the same.\"

-Kiffin is really trying boundaries with every in-conference coach, huh? Another classless coach to add to the list. :cough cough: meyer :cough cough:

Kiffin just KNOWS that UT can ONLY return to glory by getting all of the talent from the Peach State like Fulmer and Garner were able to do during the mid to late 90's. UT will always be able to recruit nationally but we all know that players from GA were key factors in the Vols rise in the SEC and nationally. I must say that CMR and staff have done a GREAT job of locking up MOST of the talent in our home state.

Quite frankly, UGA recruiting is on a roll right now. Landed Branden Smith on Sun. night and then got a commitment from DE Montez Robinson from Indiana of all places just earlier today. Hopefully we'll steal WR Marlon Brown away from Tennessee, that would be huge. Also, big ol' 6'7\" 340 lbs. Bobby Massie from Hargrave would be a great addition. Still, I'm most excited about the fact that the Under Armor defensive MVP CB Greg Reid from Lowndes Co. just decommited from Florida and has scheduled a visit to Athens at the end of Jan. right before Nt'l signing day. How sweet would it be to pull both Aaron Murray and Greg Reid away from those Gators??? Yep, CMR and the staff are doing an outstanding job attracting some of the top talents in the nation to Athens. Now, we just gotta keep em' out of trouble, keep em' healthy, and coach em' up!

Ain't that the truth, what would the season have been like had we not had the arrests, injuries, penalty problems and a lackluster DC this year?
Just thinkin out loud!
