First off, Happy Holidays from a Spartan fan.

Secondly, I notice not much respect being given to Michigan State. I think the majority of Bulldog fans may be taking the Spartans defense for granted. I would agree that MSU's DLine is our weakest link but the LB core and secondary is very strong and fast.

Concerning the offense, MSU has had it's share of injuries just like Georgia. We've been hit the hardest at WR, with a walk-on Jr leading the team in receptions. MSU now has had time to heal and should have everyone healthy in time for this bowl game.

While I understand Bulldog fans are disappointed to be going to a lesser bowl like this, please don't take this MSU team for granted.

Hey Carolina Spartan and welcome......believe me, the way our D has been playing, we don't take anybody for granted. My biggest concern is motivation if our players are letdown from their expectations. We know MSU will be very motivated. If your DL is a weak link and are relying on your LB's and DB's, your D is going to have a long day trying to defense this offense of ours. Pressure from a DL is mandatory against our offense. It will be a fun game to watch and am looking forward to seeing JR run the ball.

Breakdown the Bulldog team that MSU will be facing if you could. I have read about plenty of injuries, which positions has Georgia been hurt in? What's the weakest part of your team?

For MSU, our O doesn't just run through Ringer although he's been a stud for us this year. QB Hoyer is a Sr and has been a great manager of the game, throwing the ball away instead of forcing it. He's not one to win a game but he definetly won't lose it. The OL has been decent, we've got Sr's on the right side but our young left side has been more impressive. The TE, Gantt has been found deep up the middle. WR Blair White, \"Whitey\", a Jr walk-on has been huge this year leading the team in receptions. He's a great possesion reciever. Also at Wr is Keyshawn Martin \"K=Mart\" who also gets a fair share of carries on reverses for big gains.

On the D: The DL has been our weakest link but DE Trevor Anderson has been a great pass rusher, most teams have had success runing the ball against this defense because of our DL. Our LB's are very speedy with Soph Greg Jones, a Frosh All-American anchoring this group and leading the team in tackles. The secondary had been banged up all season but our depth has helped. Sr Otis Wiley, SS, leading the team in INT's and our CB's Adams & Rucker shutting down most opponents WR's.

Special Teams: K Brett Swenson has been very consistent, making 18 in a row at one point but P Aaron Bates struggling with a couple blocks and distance.

Overall: If you beat MSU it will be running the ball, usually between the tackles or with a QB that can run the ball, see Ohio St. MSU has done well in turnover ratio and isn't likely to have dumb penalties beat them.

I'll save my prediction until I learn a bit more about Georgia. Thanks!

I'll just summarize for you (IMO).

You can count on our offense putting up at least 30. Even though we are on our 4th LT, we have no weaknesses on offense. Quite the contrary, Matthew Stafford may be the #1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft. MSU hasn't played against anybody that can throw like he can. Plus our receivers are very good, especially with Green and Massaquoi, both deep and intermediate routes. Then there's Moreno, if you don't stop him with penetration, you won't stop him at all. He can make you miss in a phone booth or he can run over you......yes, we will score 30+.

On D...DT's are good, LB's are good but secondary is very inconsistent. Our biggest problem on D is our DE's haven't put much pressure on anybody (our DT's put more pressure sometimes). Therefore I believe you can throw on us. You will move the ball on us but we ARE very athletic and we have tremendous \"team\" speed. Don't believe MSU's seen this overall speed but with the inconsistencies on D, you will score.

I say ....UGA 38 MSU 20

I hope we can go out with a big W.
Maybe take some of the sting out of that horrible third quarter of the Tech game.
Hopefully the defense will play better and realise the legacy they represent.
