You know I heard on the radio an interview done with Nick Saban that was done sometime early today and he was discussing the firing or resignation of coaches in the SEC this year.
He made a comment about how Auburn and UT were not borken programs and had bad years and he expresses some contention with some of the decisions made thinking these guys should not have lost their jobs.
The thing that struck me was he said that \"it's not like these teams had lost their fight or discipline\" they just had a down year. The moment he made the comment about not losing some of the fight and discipline on the teams I immediately thought of our boys in Red and Black.
That fight, that edge and discipline just seemed to be missing this year. I have confidence in CMR and this will change, but according to one of the best minds in CFB we were missing what should get coaches fired.
I'm not trying to make a point to get anyone fired here, just heard this and my first reaction gave me that funny feeling inside. In the big picture you need three things to be successful at any level. Talent, fight or that \"it\" factor we've heard borught up and discipline. In reality we were missing two of these three this year. Hope we use the extra practices and time off before the bowl game to right this ship and carry into next season.
