Early Prediction

Early Prediction was created by GeorgiaBoy1285
After watching the nerds rack up 470 yards rushing against the thugs, I'm going to predict that at some point, our guys get worn out. These guys are all over the field and have a few weapons, which tells me that if each individual dawg does not do their part, GT is going to find a hole or two. WE MUST SHUT THEM DOWN EARLY!! Make them realize that their gameplan is WORTHLESS. We are not Miami, I know that. But these guys just played their best game of the season and they are coming into Athens on a high. Time to hunker down, DAWGS! REALLY HUNKER DOWN!! We are going to need an A+ performance.

You got that right GeorgiaBoy. The NATS looked VERY good tonight. Our Dawgs are gonna need to bring their A game to avoid a STINGING upset. Still, we'll be rested and ready (I pray). CWM definitely has his work cut out for him; CPJ is a helluva a coach IMHO, and gameplanning for the triple option is gonna be crucial. Quite frankly, I was rooting for Yech tonight. I actually wanted em' to come into Sanford off this high note just so an 8th straight victory in this HATE-filled rivalry would be all the sweeter.

I agree, Goose. That's why 2006 was such a sweet victory; Tech was far better than we were that year and were widely picked to destroy Wake Forest in the ACC title game. We beat them Stafford-to-Massaquoi and effectively ended their season.

Doesn't mean 11/29 will be an easy day, though. Miami's no slouch; they beat Wake, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. Of course, Wake was having a gigantic slump at the time without Sam Swank, and Virginia Tech is a shell of themselves this year. And Virginia is, well, Virginia, no matter how good a year they're having. But Miami's strength is their defense, and GT torched them. I know that one week doesn't necessarily inform the next (one need only look to our offensive performance against LSU and then our offensive output against Florida a week later to determine that), but Tech did look good last night. They did it on short rest, and now they have a week and a half to prepare for us. And we have weaknesses this year. Just as it would be satisfying to kill their buzz (no pun intended) after such a huge win, it would be immensely satisfying to them to end their drought against us in a year when we were picked #1 preseason.

Make no mistake: Tech wants this game BADLY. Our Dawgs have to come out hungry, angry, mean-spirited and run-up-the-score-minded. The week of hate is upon us, gentlemen. TIME TO HUNKER DOWN AND BITE IN DEEP!

Our dawgs will be ready I believe. Next Saturday is going to be full of emotion, with the geeks coming to town and the fact that we haven't had a home game in five weeks. Not to mention it is the last regular season game of the season. We will win but not by a blowout by any means. Forecasting this game to be down to the wire with hard hitting and not much offense on either side (hopefully at least on theirs). Could be a 24-21 game, but as long as we beat them, I don't care.

Plain and simple for 2011...WIN

I disagree, born2bAdawg. I think that we could have another 42-38 Kentucky-type debacle on our hands. Let's hope DeMarcus Dobbs wears his sticky gloves on the 29th...
