What if:
Alabama inexplicably loses to Auburn.
Florida loses to Florida State.
Both of these things happen, happen often, and happen inexplicably. Ask GatorinGA how many times in the '90s Florida State beat Florida for no good reason and ended their season. In the case of the Iron Bowl, well, we know how streaks can be. Georgia Tech definitely had a better team than we did in 2006, but we beat them, in the midst of a long streak.
Florida then beats Alabama in Atlanta, giving both teams two losses.
Oklahoma beats Texas Tech, and due to their highest-of-the-three BCS ranking, they represent the South in the Big XII Championship game. Then Missouri beats them, giving them two losses.
Utah loses to BYU.
Boise State wins out, but no one gives a damn because they're in the WAC and they end up BCS #3.
USC wins out.
Ohio State wins out.
Penn State, having lost later in the season than Ohio State, goes to the Rose Bowl because their BCS ranking is lower and they didn't lose to a ranked team the way Ohio State did. With only one loss, Ohio State ties Penn State for the Big Ten and qualifies for the national championship.
Miami on January 8: USC vs. tOSU for the National Championship.
Once again, the BCS is correct! Hooray for the only system that accurately works!
