Good news for Dawgs!

Well, Penn State just lost to Iowa.

That means that they'll be headed to the Rose Bowl.

That also means that the Ohio State Univeristy just got dropped down from the Rose Bowl to the Capital One Bowl, which is probably where we'll end up.

So, as of right now, it looks like we're headed for a matchup with tOSU Buckeyes to cap off the season. That one actually gets me excited and it's a game I'd love to see. Unlike Michigan State. Just couldn't get to pumped up for that one. Just win out Dawgs, and it looks like we're headed for a fine season with a quality opponent who we'd love to beat waiting for us at the end.

And now the bad news: Florida now has a clear path to the national championship game.

As much as I can't stand Satan and the Bama fans. I'm pulling for Bama.

The Capital One Bowl has to be excited to have a chance at 2 top 10 teams playing in their bowl. Like you i was excited once i saw PSU loose. With the way this season is unfolding we want a playoff well we are getting as close as we ever will to a playoff. Texas Tech plays Oklahoma next. i don't know how they do their tie breaker if Texas Tech looses. sorry USC it's this simple, SEC vs Big 12 in the Championship game. Thats your semi final matchup there. what a great football season. just wish the injury bug would have held off for us. don't know if it would have mattered. Auburn is next and thats all that matters for the Dawgs. as a fan of football i think this season is better than last year.

I'll tell you, I'd love to see an undefeated SEC team (Alabama) vs. an undefeated Big 12 team (Texas Tech) to finally solve this whole \"who's better, who's best\" argument between the conferences.

Then again, I'm of the mind that we're in a down SEC this year as I've stated before, so maybe this isn't the best year to test that theory...

First of all we have to win out which as we all witnessed yesterday is no gimme. Capital One bowl is still a stretch IMO right now.

No telling what will happen the last three to four weeks of this regular season and how the bowl matchups will fall. Already, if I'm not mistaken, there are three different hypothesis on where teams will go or \"what happens if\" out there on this board now.

I usually try to play these out in my head and get a jump on purchasing bowl tickets, but this year I'm not going to do it. I travel alot for my job and my windshield time will be spent on self reflection rather than on the BCS, bowl matchups and \"what ifs\". This all went out the window with the purchase of my SEC championship tickets by a Gator. Don't know if I'll ever recover from that one! Although the phone call after the game last weekend was a very friendly and cordial one rather than a slimy, gloating, rub it in your face type.

Hope we just win out and then beat the tar out of whoever wants a taste of what CMR and his teams bring to bowl games!
