This is from #3 in Ivan Maisel's \"THree Point Stance\" this week:
It's been four days. I've moved past my gut reaction. I have enough distance to make a calm judgment. And I still think Florida coach Urban Meyer strayed way off base by calling those two timeouts in the final minute of the 49-10 rout of Georgia. The Gators said all they needed to say on the scoreboard. Meyer's choice revealed more about him than it did anyone else, none of it good.
Amen. Say what you want about his ability to recruit, his ability to win games, and his offensive system. At his core, Urban Meyer is a whiny baby with a soul full of vomit. And for that reason alone, we could go 1-11 in a year when Florida goes 14-0 and wins the national championship and I'd always want Mark Richt over Urban Meyer. Character builds men. And real men help build character in the young men put in their charge. In the end, that's more important than any statue or crystal football.
Yes, Florida fans, your coach is scum. And to hell with him.
