I would rather see the team play hard and physical as opposed to being walked over, but two personal fouls have changed the course of both our loses.
In the Bama game, we recovered a fumble in the 1st and were hit w/ a roughing the passer which negated the turnover. This not only would have stopped Bama but would have stopped their momentum and would have changed that huge 1st quarter they had.
Same w/ UF! Interception negated by a hands to the face. The gators don't score, we have field position and momentum on our side. Instead the opposite occurs.
Hardly do two plays make for a loss, but momentum is such a huge factor in this league as the talent level on the field is usually pretty even. It comes down to coaching, play-making, and being opportunistic. UGA falls way short in the latter.
Very frustrating. I think the D should do a push-up for every penalty yard they give up this season during off-season workouts.
