Guys, I hate to say it, but I think we're experiencing a down SEC the way we did in 2006. It's bad after we've won the last two national titles, because with Tennessee and Auburn -- two traditional powers -- being this bad, surviving an SEC schedule this year isn't going to have the clout it had last year.
Think about it. In 2006:
We went 9-4, losing to Vandy and Kentucky in the same year.
Alabama went 6-7, losing to Mississippi State, Arkansas and Oklahoma State
Tennessee went 9-4, losing to Arkansas and Penn State
Eventual national champion Florida had to survive one-point games over South Carolina and Tennessee
We might be having that same year again this year, with Vanderbilt being this year's Arkansas. We're at the halfway mark, so it's difficult to tell. Just win, is all. Just win.
