I am going to be making the treck to Death Valley this year.
I've never been to Baton Rouge before.
I have a ticket, but no parking pass and the hotel I'm staying at is not within walking distance of the stadium. Is it pretty much like any other college town where you can find business charging like 20 bucks or so for parking within a mile or 2 of the stadium, or am I pretty much out of luck unless I shell out 100 bucks on ebay for a parking pass at the stadium?
Also, for those of you who have frequented the area or live near there, what are some of the hot spots and good places to eat that are distinctly Baton Rouge? (ie no chains). Any must see/do non-tourist trap things while I'm there?
