This will never happen again...

The way we played in the second half shows that our boys have the passion and motivation, and they want to learn and improve. Losing 31-0 at the half and then coming back to lose 41-30 says that we know we can hang with Bama if we don't focus our energy on things like blackouts and showmanship and actually put our efforts into playing the game.

I actually feel really good about the rest of our season. I feel like our boys got the smackdown they needed and now it's on. We will not be caught offguard and not ready to play again. The Dawgs of the second half are the ones who will show up against Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Auburn, and Georgia Tech (not to overlook Vanderbilt and Kentucky, of course)

We just got kicked into the same gear we got kicked into at the end of 2006 when we won the Chick-Fil-A bowl after losing to Kentucky and Vanderbilt and last year after we lost to Tennessee.

I see nothing but good, exciting things for us in the future. Hold on tight, 'cause it's gonna be a thrill ride.

I agree this won't happen again, there is no better time for a bye week and if we win out I believe we will end up in the same position as we would have if we went undefeated.

Since Florida and USC lost, it really hasn't changed anything. Going undefeated in today's age is nearly impossible and I don't see any team of significance doing it this year, but if there is a right way to lose, we did it. Early in year, vs current number 2 team.

It was very embarrassing, but our team will start playing in fear of being embarrassed from now on, just like they did in the second half, but if we don't start blitzing more, I will go crazy haha.

The Dawgs need to relax. At the beginning of the year, I predicted that Bama would be the victors in the west with a close game with Georgia. I truly believe that these two teams will see one another again at the SEC championship game, with the victor playing in the national title. Don't take anything from Bama. They played a perfect first half. They really are that good. We are that good too though, and its very hard to beat a team, especially the caliber of Georgia and Alabama twice in the same year. I had much rather lose to them now, than at the end of the year in the SEC championship game. We are still in it to win it. Don't get down. I predict a solid dismantaling of Tenn after a MUCH NEEDED bye week. We get many key players back, most notable, Brannan Southerland. Watch the holes get bigger from hear on out as our offensive line matures, and with a wrecking machine like Southerland paving the way, watch out... The season has just begun.

We may not have Knowshon for the Tn. game. Our tight ends are decimated. We need to focus on fundamentals, back to the basics.
I think we beat the Vols. I'm not so sure of any more blowouts.
We need to get back to work and put Saturday's debacle behind us.

Moreno may not there for the UT game but our team doesn't fall onto just one player. Yes, i understand that he is an outstanding back and love to watch him slice the defenses that we play against but its just the simple reason that we can't let all our hope fall onto one individual. Look what happened to oregon when dixon got hurt, they went stumbling down like crazy. Even with him out we have two great backs that aren't new to running the ball, this will give them the chance to make themselves more well known to outsiders and put some points on the board and give Moreno time to get well. Once thats done, I would hate to be vandy if he's healed by then. One man loss is better then the entire team.

All posts bring up very good points of interest, however I am still having a hard time understanding how we go down 21-0 in the first two quarters of the game and we never attempted to bring pressure on the QB... never... for the rest of the game, and this isn't the only game this has happened.
