Nice post NewFoundRespect & please, come on over to Athens next September for a treat. Heck, I invited just about every ASU fan I encountered to Athens for next year's tilt.

So, I just got back to feeling normal after the crazy, long, wild, winning weekend out in Hell (I mean Arizona). Goodness, Bulldog Nation (like them Junkyard Dawgs) was in full effect out in the desert this weekend. The ASU bar scene looked like Broad Street on Friday night and all day Sat. We walked in to a brew pub on Mill Ave. Friday night to eat and all we saw was a sea of Red and Black. Talk about feeling like you were at a home game—it was a beautiful sight to behold!

For the most part, the ASU fans were really good people. We got some free food from the grill and a chilled shot of that “get ready for some football” medicine from some ASU fans near our tailgate. We also met up with an ASU poster on another site I visit. Not surprisingly, he was a real cool fella; seeing how he’d been very cordial towards all of the Dawg fans on that site for many months now. As for me personally, I especially enjoyed the company of those “easy on the eyes” ASU lady devils ;)

Seriously though, with some exceptions like NewFoundRespect and my ASU buddy from the other site, most Sun Devils lacked the passion for football that we are accustomed to down here in Dixie. Still, I was actually proud of their student fans on game day. When my crew rolled into the middle of the huge Gold and Maroon tailgate/sand lot with our red UGA flags flying, we got the hell BOOOOOO’d out of us by hundreds of angry Devils. Of course, we just laughed at em’ and told em’ we’d see who was making the noise AFTER the game. Strangely enough, that parking lot was darn near empty after we celebrated the final seconds of the Bulldogs victory and made the hot hike back to the car!

Anyways, enough about this game that all the TALKING HEADS were hyping as
“A rare, long, and impossible road trip to rugged Pac 10 country to play another BCS team”…Well, from my seats, it sure didn’t look like them Dawgs had any problems WHATSOEVER with the HEAT or the TRAVEL!

NOW, it is time to send the ghost of Bear Bryant, I mean Prick Satan, I mean Nick Saban and the Muddy Tide back to their Ala-damn-bama homes. More on this HUGE BLACKOUT game later.

HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS?
