Could ESPN, SportingNews Radio and everybody else PLEASE stop harping on the fact that this is our longest trip out west during the regular season since 1960? They only do that because we lost to Southern Cal that year. The last time we went this far from Athens was eight years ago -- that's right, EIGHT YEARS, HYPEspn, not forty-eight -- to play in the 2000 Oahu Bowl. We won that game, by the way, Jim Donnan's last as head coach. Notice they haven't been consulting him at all regarding this matchup? Hmm...I wonder why. Perhaps because it would ruin their sexy Georgia's-gonna-lose storyline.
Robert Smith -- who, by the way, has no idea what he's talking about, ever; he said that our last trip to the West Coast was in 1967 and referred to Hairy Dawg as Uga -- picked Arizona State because of our offensive line. That's ridiculous. The O-line has one bad game -- against the #1 defense in the SEC, by the way, which basically makes them #1 in the country -- and all of a sudden our O-line is incapable of tying its shoes without drooling on itself? Smith then went on to blame the O-line for Knowshon \"struggling this year.\" Struggling? He's averaging one hundred and two yards per game!!!. 89 in the opener (on only 12 carries, by the way), 168 against CMU and 79 against the best defense in the SEC. He's averaging over two touchdowns per game! Read some stats before you make some idiot statement, Robert!!!
I am sick and I am tired of the media downgrading us, and I hope our Dawgs are too. Usually I say, \"Let the decisions be made on the field,\" but honestly it's just too annoying. And since I'm an admitted and shameless College Football Live addict, I can't just stop watching coverage of college football. It would hurt, and I'd begin to see things.
Here's what needs to happen. We need to run at will on Arizona State, rack up close to 200 yards for Knowshon (since Richt's sensibilities would never allow him to keep KM in for 200 yards), and throw a couple of long bombs to Massaquoi and an out-speed route to A.J. for touchdowns. Also, Stafford needs to run for about a 20-yard touchdown. Add those together with Knowshon's three rushing TDs and you've got 49 points. Is that enough to beat Arizona State, HYPE?
GO DAWGS!!! EAT YOU UP SOME DEVIL HIND END!!!!
