Goose, I've wondered about the swing passes and screens as well--like to see many more of them as opposed to going for the long ball so much. Speaking of getting the ball to your playmakers, does anybody else remember that WR screen that Coach Richt practically invented and definitely perfected when he was OC at FSU? The one where the line released and went downfield as the WR ran parallel to the line and got the ball with the bulldozers in front of him? I think that is play with AJ Green written all over it.

Hey Sadler, I know, I'm just another armchair QB but our offense just seemed vanilla last week, from a playcalling perspective. SC's defense really is awesome and that didn't help our stats but I think a little creativity goes a long way. As for the FSU WR screen play, GREAT CALL! AJ Green and possibly even Tavaras King w/his speed could break some big plays.

Great point about the history of the SC vs UGA game NC Dawg; CMR is gonna have to come up w/something REAL special to break the cycle of nail-biters and hopefully he will!

I think when we play South Carolina, it seems we get that \"WAR\" mentality, slugging it out up front. It's ugly and personal.
I agree guys, open it up with a few screens and swings, short stuff, and then hit them with a bomb. It also makes it easier for the OL until we gel as a unit.
Plus, we always got Knowshon to keep them honest.

...than to open our SEC play with a resounding whipping of USC. It just rarily happens. I do, however, believe we try to go for the jugular, but when the TE drops a few critical passes across the middle, or you over throw a streaking wide out, or drop one in the endzone...Well the kharma that is UGA -v- USC persists....I truly believe its more a mental thing for the Dawgs than a physical one...

Great post NCDawg! It gives me some reassurance. We may be wrong, but I have a sense that the Dawgs will bite hard and win convincingly. It's the Alabama game that concerns me.
