The defense next week will not be as stout as this one. I'm telling you this is one of the toughest defenses we will face all year. this is a great test. This was not one of those highlight filled flashy wins which is okay. We needed this test to see how MS and the offense could work and wear down a \"D\". If you did not notice that SC defense looked a little tired on the last few series. We needed this hard nosed battle to prepare for the meat of the schedule. There is still lot of work to do and things to shore up to beat a FL or LSU, but this team is not bad or \"overrated\" as one put it just b/c this was not a blow out. I'm hard pressed to remember a blowout against the Cocks, but do remember big blowout wins against UT, LSU and FL(last year) after there was time to piece all of the components together.

No \"turning around\" is necessary. Just putting the pieces together in the same game.

Everyone knows I hate to give SC any credit, but you are right, DawgnLA, this defense was stout--much better than I gave them credit for. We did have plenty of drops and penalties to make them look better, but this was a tough D to move the ball on and a good test. Would have liked to see the offensive scheme called a little differently, but I guess Bobo knows better than I do.

We made the plays when we had to.

i do have 1 question...can anyone tell me what was going on with ASHER ALLEN?!!! getting beat, penalties, what was going on there? he is one of my fav players and was letting me down. our seniors should not be leading our team in penalties yet they were
