Remembering September 11, 2001

Two American flags flying in my front yard. Today I met my wife for lunch at our local mall. Finished our sandwiches and started to leave. Two Marines were in line waiting for their food. I walked up to them and said a couple of words. My wife was a few steps ahead and when I caught up, she asked me what I had said. I said THANK YOU. You could see the appreciation in their faces. Guys and Gals like these are what make it possible for those of us that enjoy UGA football. God Bless America. Go Dawgs!

Every time I see an American in uniform, be it shopping, at the airport, etc., I always shake their hand and say thank you. It really touches me how grateful they are for such a small token of appreciation. God watch over our bravest and best.
Let us never forget 9/11 and don't think it can't happen again.

Does not surprise me averagedawg. Talking to you online, know the type of person that you are. Whether anyone agrees or disagrees with Iraq, don't make the mistake that they did back in the days of Nam. We should never forget 9/11 and those that serve us honorably, and coming from a Firefighter background, what more can we say about the NYFD. God Bless.
