I go back to what dawgdoc had to say before the forum changed. Ya know some of these kids are using the college ranks to get to the big money in the pros. Thats ok.
But, if they abuse the opportunity (scholarship) and get into trouble with the local law and bring discredit to the school and program,I think there has to be a point at which the NCAA says, you're out of college football all together. You can't transfer to another school and continue to play while breaking laws.
Granted there is a threshold were the NCAA steps in, where that is I don't know, below that threshold the athletic department and the school have the jurisdiction. Its rampant across the country in my view.
I'm really tired of reading about kids that don't shoulder the responsibility, USC, Colarado, UGA, TN, UF, Miami, etc.
When I did my time in the military there were expectations and responsibilities, transgress and there were serious consequences. Unless college football and the NCAA come to grips with this issue its only going to get worse.
I like the attitude that CMR, Whining Steve, and Fulmer have on dicipline, I just don't see why we reward antics like that by letting offenders go to another school to get to the Pros. Maybe I'm to old and believe in being grateful for the opportunity to have a scholarship. Abusing a privilidge is not in my dictionary. Ole Dawg still stuck in Orange Punkin land. Orange is a horrible color!

I found this in the archives. Though it worth looking back at how things were 4 years ago.
