Press?

Press? was created by Getdown11
Is it just me or does it seem that considering we are the #1 team in the nation we aren't really getting much press. Don't get me wrong we have gotten accolades from different sports writers etc... But it seems to me everyone is just waiting and expecting the dawgs to drop one. I honestly believe nobody in the country really thinks the dawgs can pull a national title out of this season.

Go Dawgs!!!!

Look for this lack of respect to serve us well. All we need to do is keep winning.

Good observation Getdown. The ENTIRE country is just certain that UGA will NOT survive the schedule. Seriously, it doesn't take a genius to look at the Dawgs schedule and say, yep, they are gonna lose a game somewhere along the line. I don't necessarily disagree with this forecast but I am confident that the Dawgs can persevere, even if they take a loss and still make it to Atlanta for the SEC CG. The Dawgs just gotta win the SEC East, after that, anything can happen. Still, I think averagedawg is right on, this lack of attention SHOULD only help keep the players humble & motivated. I kinda like it myself. Regarding the top 5 schools: most of the talk I heard this weekend was about USC's domination over Virginia and the status of Beanie Wells's leg injury up in Columbus, OH. It's fine w/me if the Dawgs fly under the radar a bit.

Hopefully, we'll come ready to play against Cent. Michigan this Sat. and hopefully the fans will come ready to cheer? I was very disappointed in the crowd support (or lack thereof) this past Sat.. Yeah, I was in Sec. 326 as usual, yelling at the top of my lungs and yeah it was hot, and yeah I was sweating, and yeah the air was heavy, blah, blah, blah...I sure wish more of the Dawg fans would get off their butts and vocally support the team! Is it really that hard to make some noise in Athens for about 3.5 hours at a time on just 6 out of 52 Saturday's in the entire year?

The press is going to do everything it can to keep OSU and USC in the spotlight because they've predicted their continued \"dominance\" in college football. I hope we get little press, personally, and even the continued disrespect too because it keeps the hype down and our kids can concentrate on football.

The lack of respect is the best thing that can happen to these kids.

Hey, I'm the loudest fan in the stadium when I'm there, and even I was finding it difficult to work up any energy. That was some heavy air, folks. I usually make it through the game without visiting the concession stand, but I downed three bottles of water at Saturday's game. It was moist and I was sweating even when it was only 88 degrees.

We'll have a little more for a 3:30 game, though. And my wife will be there with me, so I'll want to show off for her and impress the missus.
