Web Site Adjustments

As you can see I have been busy spiffing Dawgs up getting ready for the season.

I have adjusted Rank Names. No one has been promoted or demoted. The message count to reach each level is the same. The main adjustment was the elimination of Sr. Sage and renaming it back to Sage. The old Sage is now Seasoned Dawg.

Message count for each level:
dawgfan 15
bulldawg 150
junkyarddawg 500
SeasonedDawg 5000
SageDawg 10000

The users message count on this board does not match the count on actual messages on some the higher ranks. This is because they were given credit for either outstanding participation or messages from last versions of the forum or both.

The traffic is picking up very fast right now due to the Dawgs preseason publicity. I need help to watch for forum abuse. We need to be vigilant this season. I can't cover it everyday and I hate for objectionable or offensive messages to stay up long.

I would like to appoint a couple of junkyard dogs or above to help watch for and flag from view questionable messages and videos. To do the job you would have to be a daily visitor during football season as I try to do. You can monitor the RSS feed all day (on and off) for questionable messages. The RSS feed could just be a small window on your desktop.

Do I have any volunteers or nominations for the job of moderator? More than one would be excellent coverage. Step up and get on the Dawgs moderator team. If I could get three daily visitor types to man up we would have it covered.

I konw you all think I have done a great job remaking the site.( I hope that still stands.) That is good to know. Thanks. No need to thank me more.

Yes, sadlerdawg would be a great choice. Steve, I would be more than glad to help monitor the forum. Just show me what I would need to do, I'm known as \"low tech Layton\" around my office. Also, I usually sign on to my company (for my emails etc) and just come to the forum while signed in to my company so any you tube videos are blocked by my company. Guess I could sign on at the house and not go through my company (but just easier because can check my emails as well). Thanks for thinking of me.
