RxCowboy, are you associated with the Pharmacy School. My son has 2 degrees in microbiology and is now wanting to attend pharmacy school. He was in the PhD program at Vandy but decided a career in academia wasn't for him. He wants to go to UGA, obviously a smart kid. Do you have any insights?

Yes sir, I am a professor for UGA College of Pharmacy (although I'm stationed in Albany and not Athens). I would be happy to talk with your son if you wish. He can contact me at [email protected].

He'll have to take the PCAT. But if his GPA and GRE are good enough to get into Vandy then he shouldn't have too much problem with the PCAT. Right now is a great time to get into pharmacy. Salaries are VERY good, and there is a great diversity of things that you can do in the profession.
