Donnan's still pissed because he was replaced by a better man.
I remember walking out of the Tennessee game in 2004 (another year in which we were projected to play for the national title) and some drunken idiot yelling at the top of his lungs, \"This never would have happened if Vince Dooley hadn't fired Mr. Jim Donnan!\"
I yelled back, \"Jim Donnan beat Tennessee exactly once! Mark Richt has already beaten them three times!\"
That said, no college analyst wants to appear stupid. The people who are predicting us to be out of the MNC picture are ranking our SCHEDULE, not our team. The people projecting us to play for the title are ranking our talent. Although it aggravates me, I give the analysts a pass for the most part. Like our local sports radio hero, Mark Packer, says after every upset loss in college football and basketball, \"That's the reason why we play these goofy games.\"
The only analysts I will call out right now are the ones predicting USC to even PLAY for the national title, let alone win it. One had USC beating Florida. Really? There is no possible way that USC could beat Florida in week three, let alone January 8th. Urban Meyer may be a lot of things, but with the talent depth he has and three weeks to prepare, Florida would destroy USC.
Also....you know.....GO DAWGS!!!
