I think it's to combat the sort of mentality that allowed Michigan to lose to App State last year. Both GSU and CMU run a speed-oriented, option-style offense just like App State. I don't know about the Eagles, but Central has an NFL-worthy quarterback (like Armanti Edwards) in Dan LeFeveour. LeFeveour, by the way, out-statted Tebow last year, becoming the first player in history to throw for 3,000 and rush for 1,000 in one year (Tebow threw for 3,000 and ran for 878). There are legitimate reasons to be afraid of both teams -- CMU more so than Southern -- but I think our Dawgs are ready to beat both of them down. Nowhere is that more evidenced than in what Jeff Owens said at SEC Media Days: \"Nobody's going to be talking about the national championship if we go out there and lose to Georgia Southern.\" Amen, brother.
