Expectations

i feel the same way about the Fl game. i belive we will be undefeated to that point but lose to them. but like u said wlayton...the rest of the schedule will take care of the business. after the (possible) lose to Fl. the team will come together and be to strong for anyone to handle. Im not writting them off of the cocktail party though. it will be a nail biter.

IMO,what will get us through this tough schedule is our depth. Depth at all positions, but especially in our offensive and defensive lines. Our coaches ability to make substitutions in these games is going to be a key to our success this year.

If our guys can stay healthy and fresh through substitution, then we have a shot at each and every game. The run starting with SC through Auburn is brutal.

My best scenario is an undefeated season, but if we have to lose, let it be to an opponent in the SEC West. At least be undefeated in the East. Then win the SEC.

wlayton, GaBoi, don't worry. We are going to be all over UF again this year. To navigate this schedule, we have to be prepared each and every week, and we will be. Coach Richt, Coach Martinez, and the entire team learned that valuable lesson last year. I feel confident about this year, we have the depth, talent, and desire.

wlayton, which game do you want me to start with your quarterly smilie predictions like last year? UF, or sooner?

Good forecasts by all:

Myself, I worry like hell about the Bama game--I think we get fired up for payback against the Ol' Ball Coach and the Gamechickens and I think we show the nation that we are for real out in Tempe the following week. I just don't like where Bama (as mentioned, a very physical team) falls on the schedule. Yes, we have more talent, but we're gonna be tired.

IF we can make it to the bye week 5-0, I then think we have a shot at great things in 08'. 10/11/08--The hated Vols--as much as I'd like to see us beat em' by 50 points, I expect this one to be a battle--still, I think we beat UT and get some revenge.

I also think we go into Death Valley and win a close, defensive struggle against LSU. Then, the WLOCP ensues. I want this one badly, but like many others, I HATE the way the schedule sets up for this one. UF hosts UK the week prior while UGA visits LSU. Not good for UGA. I do believe the winner of this game wins the SEC East for sure. Hope it's us but right now, I would have to give the edge to the Gators. We'll see how healthy each team is when 11/1 rolls around??? Injuries might be the biggest factor in this game? Speaking of injuries, did you guys here that the Gators starting TE, Senior, Cornelius Ingram is out for the season w/a knee injury? Hate it for him personally, he turned down a spot in the 1st rd. of the NFL draft to return to Gainesville and now he'll be watching from the sidelines. He was a real weapon in the Gators passing game.

Playing at Auburn at the end of the 6 week run from early-Oct. through mid-Nov. is also scary. You know the Plainsmen are gonna want to beat us badly after the past 2 Dawg blowouts so I think it's gonna take nothing short of another miracle on the Plains to beat Auburn, AGAIN!

Tech always scares me but we should take care of em' following a bye week.

All I know is IF the Dawgs survive this schedule unscathed, that will be one of the most impressive performances in CFB ever. In all honesty, I think you would be crazy to put any $$$ on the Dawgs NOT losing a single game this year. I would be ecstatic if we could go 11-1 (just don't let the loss be to Florida) and it BETTER not be against the VOLS or I might go to jail.

Any way you slice it, with this MURDEROUS schedule, 10-2 would still be VERY impressive & I would be VERY proud of my Dawgs. One game at a time though is the motto--Ga. Southern is the only team we should be worrying about right now!

GooseDawg78.....wow, Ingram is OUT??? That's HUGE....huge loss for them. Also, I PLEASENTLY stand corrected that the gators DO play UK the week we play LSU. That's also GREAT, GREAT news.....I thought they had a bye week which would have maybe been too much to overcome. Love it!!!!!!
