Does anyone remember Effie Mae's?

She owned a social house at the covered bridge in Athens.

A lot of disappointed folks when Effie Mae's social house was closed.

was there supposed to be a story here?

Effie Mae's was a popular social house way back in the 50's and some of the 60's. I can't remember when it closed. It was probably before the bridge was moved to Stone Mountain.
I never had the experience of attending an event there but since I grew up 20 miles away and that was the road into Athens it was spoken of often when passing by.
