he knows his function....to get readers anyway he can
during the height of howard sterns popularity the people that hated him actually listened to him more than the people that loved him....
we read him because he bothers us....if anything, it lets us know our enemy

Great points UnderDog37, guess he got to me. I had never read his \"stuff\" before. If he was trying to get a rise out of the Dawg Nation, he was very successful.....with me at least. Won't read him anymore, will keep my blood pressure down.

It never ceases to amaze me how envy makes haters out of people, especially Notre Dame idiots.

I grew up in Atlanta (Forest Park) and back in the day, we had two newspapers. The Atlanta Constitution was the morning organ and the Atlanta Journal was the evening paper. The two actually competed against each other, although working and going to press in the same building. Never would you see one back biting article against each other. I know that it is the sign of the times, blogs, and the internet, just opens everything up to conjecture, kicking every butt, drawing attention to ones self. TM has ridden this horse for a long time, appears to me he seems to feel that he is above it all. Did a little research today, looking back over the articles that TM has written over the years. He is without a doubt a troubled person. He tears everything and everybody down in his articles more than 75% of the time. Little wonder that Rome \"rolls his eyes\" when TM speaks, knowing that the crap that is coming out of TM's mouth is incredibly bad, but Rome is maybe, maybe, just one step above TM. Personally, hope that the young folks at UGA embrace the chance that they have to build themselves a future. Agree with CMR, too many good young folks with good intentions attending UGA. Somehow, feel I will have more to say about the \"pot licker\". Go Dawgs!

I remember when there were two papers in Atlanta. It takes me back to simpler times. We would drive in from west Georgia to see the Crackers play.
Well, I guess that dates me.

averagedawg, spent a lot of time watching the Atlanta Crackers. Ponce De Leon, across the street from Sears. No fence in centerfield, just a big Magnolia tree. Bob Montag played then, could really hit a baseball. Chuck Tanner in right field, brings back a lot of memories. Atlanta Crackers, outside of the New York Yankees, won more titles than any other team. I understand that we were not major league then, but there were some really good players passing through Atlanta. Remember the train that ran from right field out toward centerfield and who knows where after that. Granted, I feel good about living and growing up in a time that folks cared about one another, and sports meant more than what TM has to offer. Did I just say that. . . . \"You Bet I Did . . . TM, your day is coming . . . Go Dawgs!
