UGA VI passes away.

Uga VI was 87-27 in football. He had the highest winning percentage (0.763) of any Uga to date, surpassing Uga II. He was the winningest Uga, surpassing Uga IV by ten(!) wins. Uga was not only a football Dawg; he excelled in other sports as well. In fact, 19 of Georgia's 35 recognized national championships came under his watch. That means that the other fourteen are spread out over five other Ugas (plus Otto!), not to mention the ones that occurred before Uga I. Uga VI won 35 SEC titles. He was the largest of all of the Ugas, weighing in at 63 pounds at his height. ESPN placed him at #2 on its all-time list of Greatest College Football Traditions (recent episode of \"Who's Number 1?\"), while The Sporting News consistently ranks him #1.

His kennel name being \"Whatchagot Loran?\", I wonder if Uga VII will be named \"Legendary Larry\"? I suppose the Seilers will tell us soon enough...

Any thought of \"Blacking Out\" Ga. Southern in memory of UGA VI? I think it would serve as an excellent farwell to a DGD.B)

Good idea but they will be introducing UGA VII at that game as well. Believe the stadium is going to go wild when UGA VII runs on the field in that game.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. That will be a very emotional day. On one hand it will be happy when they introduce UGA VII, but on the other it'll be sad knowing that UGA VI is gone. UGA VII is gonna have some big paws to fill.

Also, there's a reason why they waited till the Auburn game last year to black out. I don't know about you, but in my opinion it is HOT in Georgia in August!

Kids, I will on campus at about 9 am trying to catch a little glimpse of Uga VII. If you look real hard in his eye, you can see the twinkle that will eventually be Uga VIII!
