We are in deep *$#! if last night's pitcher was the supposed \"ace\" of the UGA staff.....It didn't really matter, though...every pitcher we sent up there gave up 4-5 runs each.

Nick Montgomery is not the ace of our staff. He's a freshman who made his first start of the season against Tech at Turner Field. He had two great games against Tech but hasn't done much since (poor game against Stanford, WRETCHED game against Fresno). Tonight is our real ace, Nathan Moreau. Monday was our #2 guy, Trevor Holder. Those are our seniors. Those are our rocks. Nathan won the game on Saturday, and he went 8 2/3 against NC State in the super regional. We have a good shot tonight if he starts strong. And Dean Weaver's had a day of rest since Monday, too. And Alex McCree could do an inning or two, and he's NOT going to get roughed up three days straight, I'm thinking. We have a good shot, as long as our boys show up to PLAY.

Last night's loss only means tonight's win will be that much sweeter, like a cold slice of watermrlon on a hot Georgia afternoon.
