Congrats to the Diamond Dawgs

Wow, I'm surprised I'm the first here with this, but it's a proud moment to be in the CWS. Way to go, Dawgs.

Wow, great to be a Dawg!!! They are really hot right now and just need to carry this into Monday/Tuesday. No excuses, we are rested, hitting well and the pitching staff is \"cocked and loaded\"...at full strength.

BTW, man....we have THE best closer in the country and he gives up 4 runs in the nineth, what's up with that? In the regionals (or super regionals) he came in to close out the game and the other team jacked TWO balls out of the park. He's great but the opposing teams know he's bring the heat and are just teeing off on him. I'm no coach but maybe he should mix it up a little more (few more change ups etc)to keep the hitters off balance and guessing a little more.

I wouldn't worry. They're just continuing that long Georgia tradition of keeping games interesting, you know, letting the opposition think they still have a chance, then breaking their hearts at the end.

You're right, wlayton, Fields needs to mix up his pitches a bit. It's fairly easy to tee off on a pitcher that throws hard strikes--they just swing as soon as he releases it. I don't totally fault him for the 4 run 9th--it's hard to stay focused when you're up by 6 with 2 outs. I'm just happy he wakes up and shuts 'em down when he has to.

Well congrats to them even with the 4 run 9th that sat me up in my seat for a min. I actually got to see the game. I finally made it back home and they made it even better for me. Cant wait for the next game.

Who would ya'll rather play Stanford or UNC?
