Nick Montgomery

This kid is phenomenal. The Dawgs haven't thrown a complete game all year long, and in his second start ever (!), Nick Montgomery throws a complete game, four-hit shutout to stave off elimination and force a championship game tomorrow evening in Athens. Not only had Tech not been shut out all year, but they hadn't been shut out in post-season play AT ALL since 1988. Not only THAT, but Georgia had not shut out Tech since 1969!!!

This capped off a day in which Georgia won two elimination games by scoring a total of 22 runs and using only three pitchers. You could not have planned it better. We will be fresh and at home tomorrow evening, even though Tech will officially be the \"home\" team and bat last.

ceriano is a great outfielder plus stealing his 11th base tonight and his homer against GT puts him up there with the best next draft has to offer as far as i can see. but hell yeah to nick montgomery. very impressive pitcher. go dawgs 7pm at GT again tomorrow and on to the world series! Woof Woof Woof!

Ha ha, no, I wish. I was at home in Charlotte nursing my horrible hip (arthritis at age 28? That ain't fair!) and listening to the games (both the Lipscomb and the Tech game) on my computer. I don't even get CSS up here! But I'll be tuned in to the game tonight, you can bet on that!

dapolla, sorry to hear about the hip. Had a total hip replacement on the right side last June, going back for the left one soon. Hip pain ain't good. Keep the info coming on the Baseball Dawgs.
