Fox Sports website is predicting....

I wouldn't rank UF ahead of UGA simply because of their D (could justify a higher ranking because of their strength of schedule....weak compared to our's). Their DL and LB's are very young and inexperienced. Our D is very solid and maybe the best in the conference this year(at least the fastest). The \"spread\" offense isn't unigue anymore and IMO the only way or reason that UF could beat us this year is because we have to play LSU the prior week and UF is OFF......them being off IS NOT good. I believe in this league you'll find that a very large percentage of wins come AFTER off weeks. Next year we are off before the UF game like last year.

wlayton, I believe UF plays UK the week before us...I don't think they're off. Either way, they're toast---they can't hang with us this year.

They are counting on the UF defense being stronger this season because the starters in the defensive backfield were so young and inexperienced last year. That's why they were burned so much. The writers figure that baptisim by fire they got last season will equal a great defense this season. I dont see how they think UGA wont also be better this season, though. I guess they figure that our O-line wont be as good as they were last year.

Yeah, UF's DB's may be better but what I understand, they are very young on the DL and LB's. They may be playing a couple of RS freshmen on the DL and that REALLY concerns UF's coaching staff because they will be facing SEC OL and that's a very tall task. They only have the one experienced LB back this year.....soooo, they are concerned about stopping the RUN this year. This is what I'm hearing from the UF guru's radio show here in Jax and at least one of the guys is very honest and objective in his analysis and what he hears from Gainesville.

I think Coach Searels will have our offensive line ready. If we can fill Velasco's hole, we may be better this year than last.
I don't know. I just think the chemistry's right this year. We have so much talent and such selfless talent.
I think the difference will be the defense and a vastly improved passing game.
