RxCowboy, the Mellow Mushroom was started by two Tech grads and one UGA grad, or so my son tells me. I'll let you guess who's the brains behind the outfit.

OOOH, OOOOH, so I just need a fine stogie and a finger for M. Adams...sweet. I've got some really good memories from the mellow mushroom, as well as plenty of other places in Athens (Stonewalls, anybody). Can't talk about why I love the MM, but let me just say she has a special place in my heart and that beer never tasted better. Gotta love Athens.

Call one of the telephone operators and try to get her to go out. Many moons ago (during my college years at another school), my girlfriend and I went to Athens to party for the weekend. After the Sat night party was over and we all found beds to sleep in, I picked up the phone and called the operator at 3:00 AM and was trying to talk her into going out after she got off. We talked for an hour and dang near got her to come over, so........before you leave Athens, try one last desperate call to the Athens telephone company to have a rememberable nightcap (almost).
